In the first 4 months of 2025, Thanh Hoa welcomed about 5.263 million visitors, up 6.2% over the same period last year, reaching 32.9% of the yearly plan; total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND 8,390 billion, up 13.9% over the same period, equal to 18.4% of the yearly plan.

The province has organized many cultural, sports and tourism activities associated with the 2025 Sea Tourism Festival. From April 30 to May 4, 2025, the number of visitors to Thanh Hoa increased sharply. Sea tourism areas continue to be attractive destinations, of which: Sam Son welcomed 916,000 visitors; Hoang Hoa district welcomed 91,200 visitors; Nghi Son town welcomed 89,300 visitors.

Activities to return to the source, spiritual tourism, heritage exploration and regional cultural space continued to attract tourists. Eco-tourism and community destinations in the upper Thanh Hoa region such as Pu Luong Tourist Area in Ba Thuoc District welcomed 65,100 visitors; Cam Luong Fish Stream (Cam Thuy District) welcomed 14,500 visitors; Ben En National Park (Nhu Thanh District) welcomed and served 10,000 visitors.

According to quick data compiled by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, from April 30 to May 4, 2025, the whole province welcomed about 1.6 million tourists, an increase of 5.3% over the same period last year. Of which, the number of overnight guests reached nearly 1 million, accounting for 62.5% of the total number of guests, with room occupancy rate at accommodation establishments reaching nearly 70%.

During the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, Thanh Hoa achieved total tourism revenue of about VND 4,170 billion, an increase of 9.6% over the same period in 2024.
