420 candidates in Hanoi skipped the Literature exam for grade 10.

According to a quick report from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, on the morning of June 7, 420 candidates skipped the Literature exam for 10th grade public high schools in 2025.

Specifically, the number of candidates taking the Literature exam was 102,440/102,806, reaching a rate of 99.60%, 420 candidates were absent.

At the city's 201 testing sites, no candidates or invigilators violated the regulations. However, 12 candidates needed assistance with the test due to health problems.

Hanoi Department of Education and Training assessed that the examination sites in the city were safe, serious, and implemented in accordance with regulations.

Candidates completed the Literature exam.

This morning's Literature exam was assessed to closely follow the structure and format of the sample exam previously announced by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

Le Thu Trang, a student at Yen Hoa Secondary School, said the test was "quite easy", especially when compared to the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City. The test content was quite familiar when discussing the topic of happiness and joy in school life, creating conditions for students to express their opinions naturally and honestly. With a confident mindset, Thu Trang wrote 8 pages and expected to score 8.5 points or higher.

Sharing more about the review process, Thu Trang pays special attention to current and historical topics, especially when this year the country has many important anniversaries such as the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2...

"I actively reviewed the content related to love for the homeland, national pride and the responsibility of the young generation to live in peace and happiness," the female student said, expressing her joy at "hitting the jackpot".

This afternoon, students will take a 60-minute Foreign Language test (mainly English). On the morning of June 8, students will take a 120-minute Math test. Students who are taking exams for specialized schools will take an additional specialized subject test on June 9.

The admission score for non-specialized schools is the sum of three subjects, without any coefficient. This is a new score compared to previous years. For specialized schools, the admission score is the sum of four subjects, for specialized subjects, the coefficient is two, similar to previous years.

It is expected that around July 4-6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will simultaneously announce the exam scores and grade 10 benchmark scores. Successful candidates will confirm their enrollment from July 10-12.
