6/6 industrial parks operating in Nghe An have standard wastewater treatment systems.

According to the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, thanks to focused investment, by the end of May 2025, the province had 6/6 operating industrial parks with centralized wastewater treatment systems that met environmental standards.

Specifically, by the end of May 2025, 6/6 industrial parks (IPs), reaching a rate of 100% of IPs in operation with centralized wastewater treatment systems meeting environmental standards with a total treatment capacity of 23,950 ^m3 /day and night.

Specifically: VSIP Nghe An 1 Industrial Park, phase 1 in Hung Nguyen, treatment capacity ^6,000m3 /day and night; Bac Vinh Industrial Park in Hung Dong Ward (Vinh City) capacity ^250m3 /day and night; Nam Cam Industrial Park phase 1 in Nghi Long Commune (Nghi Loc) is ^2,500m3 /day and night; WHA Nghe An 1 Industrial Park, phase 1 in Nghi Thuan Commune (Nghi Loc) capacity is ^3,200m3 /day and night and phase 2 is ^4,000m3 /day and night; Dong Hoi Industrial Park phase 1 in Quynh Lap Commune (Hoang Mai Town) capacity is ^2,000m3 /day and night; Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park in Quynh Thien Ward (Hoang Mai Town) is ^6,000m3 /day and night.

Up to now, Tho Loc Industrial Park and Hoang Mai 2 Industrial Park have had their environmental impact assessment reports approved while WHA Nghe An 2 Industrial Park is submitting its environmental impact assessment report.

According to the Industrial Park Development Plan in Nghe An for the period 2021-2030 issued together with Decision No. 1059/2023/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister dated September 14, 2023 approving the planning of Nghe An province from 2021 to 2030, with a vision to 2045, by 2030 Nghe An is planned to have a total of 23 industrial parks, of which the Southeast Economic Zone has 15 industrial parks and 8 industrial parks outside the economic zone.
