The above information was shared by Professor Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training at a recent training conference on high school graduation exams. New points include:

Exams printed on A3 paper: As in previous years, high school graduation exams are printed on A4 paper, so the exam usually has 4 to 5 pages, causing many difficulties in printing and the risk of missing pages. Therefore, converting the exam to A3 paper will make printing easier, minimizing risks due to the reduction in the number of pages.

The number of printed questions is equal to the number of candidates: If in 2024, for multiple-choice exams, each question bag had to contain 24 question codes printed on 4-5 A4 sheets, this year, the number of questions printed is equal to the number of candidates in each exam room.

For example, if a room has 10 candidates taking the Physics exam, only test codes 01 to 10 will be printed, and can be printed on one A3 sheet (printed on both sides). For the component subjects in the combined exam, instead of being present 10 minutes before the exam time as before, candidates taking only the second subject will have to be present from the beginning of the exam and wait in the waiting room before being allowed into the exam room.

Reduced break time: Candidates taking the old generaleducation program who only take the second subject in the optional/combined test must be present 10 minutes before the exam time; candidates taking the new general education program must be present from the beginning of the exam and wait in the waiting room.

Time between 2 subjects in the optional/combined exam: For candidates taking the exam according to the old program, it is 10 minutes; for candidates taking the exam according to the new general education program, it is 15 minutes.

Prohibition of using Geography Atlases: Candidates taking the 2006 general education program are allowed to bring Atlases into the exam room. Candidates taking the 2018 general education program are not allowed to bring Atlases into the exam room.

Exam bags: For the optional exam - the natural science /social science combination exam, candidates taking the exam according to the old general education program will have 1 exam bag for each subject, and for candidates taking the exam according to the new general education program, each exam session will have 1 exam bag. For the optional exam session, there will be 2 exam bags.

Handling of excess exam papers: The Ministry of Education and Training clearly stipulates that in the examination room for candidates taking the exam under the old general education program, the secretary collects and stores them in the Council room; in the examination room for candidates taking the exam under the new general education program, the invigilator is responsible for keeping them in the examination room.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27. This is the first year of graduation exams under the new 2018 general education program. Therefore, in order to ensure fairness for candidates studying under the 2006 program for graduation or university admission, the Ministry of Education and Training will organize two separate exams according to two programs for two groups of candidates. Candidates taking the 2006 program will take the exam at separate testing locations.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, this year's exam has more than 1.16 million candidates registered, an increase of about 100,000 compared to 2024, of which about 25,000 students took the exam according to the 2006 program.
