On June 3, Lak District Medical Center, Dak Lak province, is treating 4 patients with suspected poisoning due to eating mushrooms.
Previously, at around 6:00 p.m. on June 2, at Mr. YSÊ's house (residing in Jun village, Lien Son town, Lak district, Dak Lak province), they organized a hot pot party with mushrooms (unknown type) picked from the field. After eating, all 7 people had headaches and vomited, so their families took them to the Lak District Medical Center. Due to severe poisoning, 3 out of 7 patients were transferred to the Central Highlands General Hospital for further treatment.
Doctor Huynh Thi Doan Dung, Deputy Head of the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poisoning at the Central Highlands General Hospital, said that they are currently receiving three patients, YSÊ. (born in 1989), YTBD (born in 1998) and YLS (born in 2008), with abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, and dizziness, diagnosed with unknown mushroom poisoning. Among the three hospitalized patients, one has liver and kidney damage, so the Department is actively monitoring and treating him.
