Accordingly, of the nearly 95,000 candidates taking the exam, more than 67,600 candidates retook the second round, more than 27,000 candidates took the exam for the first time. Ho Chi Minh City was the location with the largest number of candidates taking the exam, more than 46,000 students.
Phase 2 has more than 95,000 candidates taking the exam.
Le Thanh Duy, a 12th grade student at Tran Khai Nguyen High School (District 5), took the exam at the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and said that he scored more than 850 points in the first round of the competency assessment test, but he was still not satisfied. This time, he did not review at a center but only reviewed on his own and exchanged experiences with friends.
"I think both rounds are no different. My score in round 1 was not enough to get into my chosen major, so I registered for round 2. I plan to use the results to apply to Foreign Trade University in Hanoi and Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City," Duy said.
Thanh Toan, a 12th grade student at Chu Van An ContinuingEducation Center (District 5), said that this was the first time he took the competency assessment test because he did not have time to register last time. Toan plans to take the test to have another option to enter university for Marketing.
"My friends who took the exam last time said the test was difficult. My weak point was Math, but my strong points were History and Geography," Thanh Toan added.
The second round of the exam was held on June 1 in 11 provinces/cities including: Hue, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Tien Giang, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.
The results of the second round of exams are expected to be announced on June 16. If candidates take both rounds, the higher result will be used for admission consideration.
Currently, more than 100 universities and colleges use the results of this exam for admission in 2025.
