Al-Hilal makes an unbelievable offer for Alexander Isak. |
The Guardian has revealed that negotiations between Isak and Al-Hilal have progressed, opening the way for a transfer that could surprise fans. Simone Inzaghi's side are even willing to pay more than £600,000 a week for Isak, including bonuses if he helps the team win major trophies or become the top scorer.
It is worth noting that Al-Hilal also promised Isak no tax if he plays in Saudi Arabia, meaning he could receive the full amount of £600,000 per week or more. Currently, Isak only receives a salary of £130,000/week at Newcastle (before tax).
Previously, according to FootMercato and Gulf Times , the Swedish striker "gave the green light" to move to Al-Hilal. This move comes in the context of Liverpool and many other teams in Europe wanting to recruit Isak this summer.
Both Newcastle and Al-Hilal are owned by the PIF, and many believe that Isak's move to Saudi Arabia could be controversial. On July 24, Newcastle United decided to leave Isak out of their 30-man squad for their pre-season tour of Asia.
The Magpies' management announced that the player was absent due to injury. However, shortly after, the British media reported that Isak wanted to leave Newcastle and asked not to participate in the tour.
