According to this decision, site clearance piles are arranged along the approved project route. Regarding the scope of site clearance piles, for the scope of the route, along the horizontal direction of the route, site clearance piles are determined from the outermost edge of the completed roadbed to each side, 3m for expressways and 1m for service roads. For sewers and civil underpasses, 4 site clearance piles are placed on each side; at intersection locations, site clearance piles are placed according to the scale of the completed intersection branch, from the outermost edge of the project to 3m... Along the route, at places where the route passes through towns, townships, densely populated areas... with adjacent construction works, at curved locations, the distance between piles is 50m/pile. In special cases passing through urban areas, complex terrain can be placed more densely. Outside the above area, depending on the specific terrain, site clearance markers are placed from 50-100m/pile.

According to the decision approving the project investment policy of the VEC Board of Members, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway Expansion Project has a length of nearly 22km. The section from the Ring Road 2 intersection to the Ring Road 3 intersection (Km4+000 - Km8+844.5) will be invested to expand from 4 lanes to 8 lanes; the section from the Ring Road 3 intersection to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway intersection, excluding the Long Thanh Bridge area (Km8+844.5 - Km25+920), will be invested to expand from 4 lanes to 10 lanes. For Long Thanh Bridge, a new bridge unit with a scale of 5 complete lanes will be invested to build in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Long Thanh, on the right side of the existing bridge.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway Expansion Project passing through Dong Nai Province and Ho Chi Minh City has a total investment of more than 16 trillion VND. To serve the implementation of the project passing through the area, Dong Nai Province will reclaim, compensate, support, and clear an area of more than 4 hectares of land. According to the plan, the project will start construction on August 19, 2025.
