According to Cadena SER , Alonso has demanded that all Real Madrid players on the pitch run continuously, press and compete for the ball in every possible position. The Spaniard is determined to fix the inconsistent pressing of last season, while also establishing strict discipline in the current group.
After a 2024/25 season that was considered a failure under Carlo Ancelotti, Alonso wants to build a team that plays with high intensity, is well organised and takes the field with a winning spirit from the first minute.
According to Cadena SER , new signings Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen will be in the starting line-up for the opening match against Al Hilal at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ on June 19, alongside stars like Vinicius Jr. and Mbappe. However, any star will be left out if they do not meet Alonso's standards.
