MU and Tottenham created an 'all-English' Europa League final after convincing victories in the semi-finals. While Amorim's army eliminated Bilbao with a total score of 7-1 (3-0 and 4-1), the London Roosters defeated Bodo Glimt 5-1 (3-1 and 2-0).
Both teams are in the same dire situation in the Premier League, ranking 15th (MU) and 16th (Tottenham) respectively, so the Europa League is a lifesaver for them.

In comparison, MU is at a disadvantage compared to its opponent when losing all 3 matches in this season's confrontations. However, Amorim believes that the Red Devils will do the opposite in the Europa League:
“ We have lost all three games against them this season, but we can beat Tottenham in the Europa League. This is a final and it is completely different to the Premier League.
Both teams will go all out, win or lose. We are in a similar situation. It is a difficult time for both me and Coach Postecoglou and one of us will win .”
And what the Portuguese captain needs for a MU to beat Tottenham: "We must have full strength, maintain form, play sharp with a little luck ."
Amorim also pointed out the weapon that helps MU have a completely different face in the Europa League, compared to their weakness in the Premier League: fighting spirit.
“ MU still revealed many weaknesses, everyone could see that against Bilbao. But we fought with all our might and overcame the challenge. If we look at both matches, I think we deserved to be in the final .”
MU will return to Bilbao to play Tottenham, compete for the Europa League trophy and a place in the Champions League at 2am on May 22.
