An Giang: Prosecution and temporary detention of a subject for fraud and property appropriation

Lang Ngoc Diem (born in 1986, residing on Su Van Hanh Street, Binh Duc Ward, An Giang Province). Previously, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police received a complaint from the people about Lang Ngoc Diem's fraudulent behavior to appropriate property.

Through verification, around 2024, Lang Ngoc Diem claimed to be a bank employee in Long Xuyen with a source of customers needing to borrow money to pay off the loan due date to mobilize from 4 people in Cho Moi district, An Giang province (old), with a total amount of 29 billion 950 million VND, then appropriated and fled the locality.

After a period of active investigation and verification, on July 31, 2025, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue an order to temporarily detain Lang Ngoc Diem for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

Currently, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and clarify Diem's criminal behavior.
