
On November 13, the leader of the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province said that specialized units are preparing for the opening ceremony of the large-scale propaganda poster exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).
Accordingly, the opening ceremony will take place at the National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park, Rach Gia ward, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of An Giang province.
The exhibition displays 150 large-scale propaganda paintings vividly depicting the following themes: Historical traditions of the Vietnamese National Assembly ; spirit of great national unity; people's mastery; and outstanding achievements of the country under the leadership of the Party, State and National Assembly of Vietnam.

According to the People's Committee of An Giang province, in recent years, the provincial leaders have always paid attention to, directed and created favorable conditions for cultural, artistic and exhibition activities to develop strongly, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people; at the same time, effectively serving the propaganda work, political and ideological education and the socio-economic development tasks of the locality.
In particular, organizing propaganda painting exhibitions has become a meaningful cultural activity, contributing to spreading humanistic values, promoting patriotism, civic awareness and building a civilized lifestyle in the community.
The exhibition of propaganda paintings to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly is a practical activity with profound political and social significance.
Through the exhibited works, the program contributes to widely promoting the nation's historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions.
From there, the exhibition arouses patriotism, national pride, and at the same time raises the sense of responsibility of each citizen towards the Fatherland.
The exhibition is also an opportunity to honor the glorious 80-year journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly - the highest State power agency, always closely associated with the people, accompanying the nation in the struggle for independence and national reunification, as well as in the cause of construction, development and international integration today.
According to the People's Committee of An Giang province, this is also an opportunity for people and tourists inside and outside the province to enjoy and admire works of high ideological and artistic value. At the same time, it is an opportunity to promote the image of people, culture and tourism potential of An Giang province to friends in the region and the whole country.

As part of the above series of activities, on the evening of November 15, at Hai Ba Trung Square, Long Xuyen Ward, the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Residential Area Mass Arts Festival will take place.
There are 13 mass art troupes participating in the festival including: Mass art troupes of An Giang province, Dong Thap province, Vinh Long province, Dong Nai province, Tay Ninh province, Quang Ninh province, Son La province, Phu Tho province, Can Tho city, Da Nang city, Ho Chi Minh city and Hanoi.
The groups will compete on the nights of November 16, 17, 18 and the awards ceremony will be held on the night of November 19.
