As scheduled, at exactly 2:30 p.m. on May 6, we arrived at Son La College, where 351 staff and international students from 9 provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic are studying.
We were welcomed by teacher Lo Van Nghia, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Training, Son La College. He shared: During the holidays, Lao students also returned home, only a few stayed, but the school still sent a special supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper for them to experience and learn. After the holidays, the school organized for Lao staff and Lao students to experience the content of Nhan Dan Newspaper supplement in Vietnamese language classes.

Taking us to visit the classrooms of Laotian students, teacher Lo Van Nghia added: This afternoon, at 3:00 p.m., the school's Vietnamese language classes will organize for Laotian staff and students to experience the contents of the special supplement on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification through visual images from the projector and scanning the QR code available on the supplement.
Attending a Vietnamese language class of Laotian students, we encountered a very exciting atmosphere with the image of about 40 Laotian students using smartphones to scan QR codes to experience the content on the special supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Teacher Sa Thi Hang Nga, who is teaching Vietnamese to Laotian students, introduced: This is a Vietnamese class for students from 9 northern provinces of Laos. The students in the class have just experienced vivid 3D footage about the heroic victory on the historic day of April 30, 1975 of the Vietnamese army and people. They were very excited and even asked to watch it again. Currently, they are experiencing scanning QR codes with their phones. Because some students have not installed the application to watch, others who are familiar with it are instructing each other.
After experiencing it through the projector and directly with his phone, Phonepasevt Toy, class K23D, Son La College, excitedly said: This is the first time I have experienced the history of Vietnam through a printed newspaper with digital technology applications like this. I find it very interesting and impressive with the way of learning about history through the combination of a paper newspaper and modern technology devices.

Pointing to the newspaper page with a QR code with an image of our tank crashing into the gate of the Independence Palace, Laotian student Phonepasevt Toy excitedly said: I really want to continue to experience learning about Vietnamese culture and history in class through publications like this, because the vivid visual images create excitement for us and it is easy to understand and remember Vietnamese phrases about history.
Building B3 of Son La College has a Vietnamese language class for cadres from departments and branches of Laos. The atmosphere of the class is also very exciting when 3D images with vivid sound about the heroic spirit of the Vietnamese army and people marching to Saigon on April 30, 1975 are projected by projector onto 2 supplement pages that are combined into a sand table and pasted on the board.

Holding the special supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper in his hand, Mr. Sedthiphonh Serth, class K14B, currently a teacher at Luong Pha Bang Provincial Pedagogical College, Laos said: Before that, on the morning of April 30, I watched the Vietnamese military parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of Vietnam. I was really moved and proud when Vietnam invited the military parade of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to join the parade. That further affirmed the solidarity and special friendship between the two countries not only in wartime but also in peacetime.
The supplement commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day includes 8 pages of special information, recreating part of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign with the milestone of capturing the Independence Palace.

Teacher Hoang Thi Minh Hien shared: Most Lao officials and Lao students studying in Vietnam have read many Vietnamese printed newspapers, but this is the second time Lao students have experienced vivid 3D images and used Nhan Dan Newspaper's technology to experience printed newspaper products on their phones. Through the experience, they all hope that during their time studying in Vietnam, they will continue to experience more fields in this form.

One of the highlights that Nhan Dan Newspaper has implemented is a special exhibition arranged by Nhan Dan Newspaper right on the newspaper's campus, next to Hoan Kiem Lake, under the famous ancient banyan tree in the center of Hanoi Capital.
At the exhibition, in addition to displaying 11 front pages of Nhan Dan Newspaper published on April 30 from 1975 to 2020, Nhan Dan Newspaper also gave away free copies of a special supplement to readers on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification at the headquarters at 71 Hang Trong, permanent agencies and representative offices of Nhan Dan Newspaper nationwide.

Since 2001, the school has received Vietnamese language training and specialized training for nearly 4,000 international students from 9 northern provinces of Laos. Currently, the school has 351 Lao officials and Lao students studying Vietnamese and specialized subjects at the school. In the future, we hope that Nhan Dan Newspaper will continue to cooperate with the school to spread special publications using digital technology on historical topics like this.
