NDO - In the atmosphere of the whole country looking forward to the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 87th Chemical Brigade, Chemical Corps is urgently completing all preparations, ready to become a steel shield to ensure absolute safety in terms of chemistry, biology, radiation, and nuclear (CBRN), especially for the important parade and march in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the eve of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 87th Chemical Brigade, Chemical Corps is urgently completing all preparations, ready to become a steel shield to ensure absolute safety in terms of chemistry, biology, radiation, and nuclear, especially for the important parade and march in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is an important task to ensure safety before the ceremony takes place.

The key factor ensuring the ability to respond quickly and effectively to chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear threats is the system of equipment and weapons. Brigade 87 has mobilized maximum forces, reviewed, preserved, and maintained all specialized vehicles, weapons, and equipment.

Deeply aware of the special importance of the April 30th celebration, the unit determined that the task of ensuring chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear safety is a top political requirement, requiring careful and synchronous preparation and the highest spirit of combat readiness.

The 87th Chemical Brigade, Chemical Corps is urgently rehearsing situations at the ceremony.

The MV-5 gas mask is an indispensable personal equipment for chemical soldiers during training and performing tasks. This is a type of equipment produced by the Chemical Corps, protecting the respiratory system, eyes and facial skin from the harmful effects of toxic substances, radioactive dust and biological agents in the air.

The key factor ensuring the ability to respond quickly and effectively to threats is the system of equipment and weapons.

Scenario handling drills are continuously held, from detecting sources of danger, zoning, warning, to deploying forces and means for decontamination, detoxification, and rescue.

To develop realistic response plans, agencies and units in the Brigade have closely coordinated with other units, carefully surveying the field in key areas where parades, marches and other events are expected to take place within the framework of the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

According to observations, each route, assembly area, grandstand, and key location is measured, marked, and analyzed for factors that may affect the spread or pose potential chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear risks.

In particular, to ensure absolute safety for the April 30th celebration, Brigade 87 has developed detailed plans and scenarios, ready to handle the most complex situations that may arise. The plans are designed to be proactive, flexible and effective, focusing on close coordination between relevant forces.

With modern equipment and vehicles such as ID-1 and D-1 reconnaissance vehicles, scouts can detect and provide early warning of dozens of types of chemical toxins, industrial toxins, biological and radioactive agents.

Major Nguyen Van Son, Battalion Commander of Battalion 97 (the core unit carrying out the mission) said that up to this point, 100% of the officers and soldiers of the Battalion in particular and Brigade 87 in general have been thoroughly prepared in all aspects, from ideology, health to professional skills and equipment.

Colonel Nguyen Gia Thu, Brigade Commander of Brigade 87, said that soldiers must master the skills of using equipment in complex conditions, practice endurance when wearing protective equipment for long periods of time, improve their bravery and have a steady mentality when facing dangerous situations. In particular, coordination exercises between squads are focused on, ensuring that the response process takes place quickly, accurately, synchronously and effectively.

The 87th Chemical Brigade is always at the highest state of readiness, determined to prevent any incidents related to chemicals, biology, radiation, or nuclear weapons, contributing to the overall success of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
