Apple's WWDC 2023 developer event will take place on June 5. Here, the "Apple" is expected to introduce new operating systems such as iOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10, tvOS 17 and the long-awaited VR/AR headset.
According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, for watchOS 10, Apple plans to bring back widgets and make them a central part of the user interface. In addition, another piece of hardware that will appear is the 15-inch MacBook Air.
The famous writer previously revealed that there would be a new MacBook at WWDC 2023, but this is the first time he has publicly named the 15-inch MacBook Air. The device has been rumored since early 2021, and the production of display panels for laptops has also been ramped up in recent months. Similar to the 13-inch version, the 15-inch version will be equipped with a standard M2 chip with multiple GPU configurations to choose from, according to analyst Ming Chi Kuo.
The 15-inch MacBook Air doesn't have any major design changes, except for a larger screen. The 13-inch model has a notch on the screen, a 1080p camera, a MagSafe 3 charging port, two USB-C/Thunderbolt ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, the Magic Keyboard, Touch ID, a Force Touch trackpad, and comes in four colors.
