On March 20, 2024, the 13th Party Central Committee considered disciplining Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, member of the 13th Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province, 13th Party Central Committee.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, member of the 13th Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province, has degraded in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; seriously violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, violated the Regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; was negative, accepted bribes, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very badly affecting the reputation of the Party organization and local government.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; implementing the Party's Regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party organizations and Party members, the Party Central Committee decided to discipline Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan by expelling her from the Party.

The Party Central Committee assigned the Politburo to direct relevant agencies to implement procedures according to regulations.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to prosecute Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan for "Accepting bribes" related to the case that occurred at Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company. The Central Inspection Committee then requested the competent authority to consider and discipline Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan.
