On May 30, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province organized an investment promotion conference in 2025 with the theme "Choosing Ba Ria - Vung Tau". The conference was attended by nearly 500 businesses, investors, and economic experts; to introduce the potential, strengths, and list of typical key projects calling for investment this year.
At the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province awarded certificates, policies, increased investment capital, and expanded projects to 53 enterprises and investors, including 27 domestic projects and 26 foreign-invested projects. The total value of the above projects is over 71,000 billion VND and over 1 billion USD.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province signed strategic cooperation agreements with large enterprises in the fields of digital transformation, urban areas, and tourism such as Vin Group, Sun Group, Ho Tram Project Company Limited, CMC Technology Group and Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh affirmed: "Ba Ria - Vung Tau has great potential and advantages for rapid and sustainable economic development, with a spillover effect in the region and the whole country. After merging Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the new administrative unit will have more open development space, greater potential and advantages, and stronger motivation to maximize its potential, creating momentum and force for a new, rapid and sustainable development phase."
The Deputy Prime Minister asked the leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to focus on eight key tasks: promoting regional connectivity, developing high-tech industry, quality services, sustainable tourism; promoting administrative reform, digital transformation, improving infrastructure; supporting businesses, developing an innovation ecosystem. At the same time, the province invests in education, high-quality human resources; protecting the environment, green development, adapting to climate change; strengthening international cooperation, improving the investment environment; accompanying investors and encouraging social responsibility.

Also at the conference, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province announced 24 important projects calling for investment in the coming time, in 4 economic pillars: industry, seaports and logistics services, tourism and urban areas, and services.
Among them, there are some outstanding projects such as Bac Chau Duc Industrial Park; Long Son LNG Thermal Power Plant; Vung Tau International Passenger Port; Long Son General Port with an area of 184.23 hectares; Cai Mep Ha Free Trade Zone with an area of 3,764 hectares; Phu My No. 1 commercial, service and logistics area with an area of 450 hectares; Phu My No. 2 commercial, service and logistics area with an area of 420 hectares; Cu Lao - Ben Dinh urban area (Vung Tau) with an area of 110 hectares; Go Gang urban area (Vung Tau) with an area of 1,389 hectares; Bac Phuoc Thang tourist area (Vung Tau) with an area of 420.45 hectares; Tay Nam new urban area (Ba Ria) with an area of 1,794.3 hectares...
