This morning (April 18), in the heroic atmosphere of Homeland Liberation Day, the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Binh district solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the district's re-establishment (June 1, 1983 - June 1, 2023).

In his commemorative speech, Comrade Cao Son Dung - Secretary of Bac Binh District Party Committee expressed his appreciation for the great contributions of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the district over the years who have always joined hands and hearts to protect and build Bac Binh district. Accordingly, implementing Decision No. 204-HDBT, dated December 30, 1982 of the Council of Ministers on the demarcation of some districts and towns in Thuan Hai province, Bac Binh district was divided into Tuy Phong and Bac Binh districts.
Bac Binh district (new) has 15 communes. The headquarters is located in Hai Ninh commune. On June 1, 1983, after completing the Party Committee apparatus, the People's Council and People's Committee of Bac Binh district officially came into operation. From 15 communes when it was re-established, up to now, Bac Binh has 3 more communes: Binh An, Phan Tien, Song Binh. By 1992, the transfer of the district administrative center to Cho Lau was completed. Cho Lau commune was upgraded to a district town, and by 2007, Luong Son continued to become a town in the south of the district. Bac Binh currently has a population of 132,230 people, with 25 ethnic groups...
Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van An emphasized that Bac Binh is a land with a long history. In the early days of re-establishment, Bac Binh district faced many difficulties, infrastructure, economy , society, health, education were very poor, not synchronized; agricultural production was still spontaneous; people's lives were still difficult, low income. The dry weather, lack of water for daily life and production often occurred locally in some localities. Besides, the pain, loss and consequences of war were still persistent, difficult to overcome, requiring a lot of effort, hard work and resources to overcome. Bac Binh in those days had all the difficulties, dryness, and hardships of Binh Thuan province. However, with the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the determination of the Bac Binh District Party Committee, the problem of water for daily life and production of the people was gradually solved...
The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio- political organizations and the people of Bac Binh district to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity. Each cadre and party member must make efforts and maximize their role and responsibility, together with the joint efforts and consensus of the people, to create a combined strength and important internal resources for rapid and sustainable development. The entire Party must promote the heroic tradition, seriously and effectively implement the Resolutions of the 4th Central Committee (term XI and term XII) and Conclusion No. 21 of the Party Central Committee (term XIII) on building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system, in conjunction with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
Continuously improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members. Focus on building a team of truly exemplary cadres at all levels, with moral qualities, professional capacity, positivity, dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility... Focus on mobilizing resources to effectively exploit potentials and advantages, and comprehensively develop the economy. Restructure the crop sector towards developing large-scale production, with suitable crops of high value, meeting market demand. At the same time, continue to care for and constantly improve people's lives, ensuring social security.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that economic development must go hand in hand with ensuring national defense and security; strengthening solutions to consolidate national defense and security, maintaining political security and social order and safety. The Provincial Party Standing Committee believes that Bac Binh district will take advantage of opportunities and chances to continue to have new breakthroughs in all aspects and will become a strongly developed district, contributing to the cause of building and developing Binh Thuan province.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Hong Hai awarded a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Binh district for their outstanding achievements contributing to the socio-economic development in Binh Thuan province.
