Bac Giang: Synchronizing solutions to promote economic development

According to the report of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, the province's socio-economic performance in the first three months of the year achieved outstanding results, in which the economic growth (GRDP) in the first quarter was estimated at about 14.8% (higher than the previous scenario, expected to be 13%), in which industry - construction is estimated to increase by about 18.8%, and industry alone is estimated to increase by about 19.6%.

Disbursement of public investment capital reached 11.3% of the plan.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Nguyen Viet Oanh informed that all socio -economic targets of Bac Giang in the first months of the year are estimated to have been exceeded. Key production sectors maintained good growth; agricultural production continued to be stable, ensuring the plan. Trade and services recovered strongly; export value maintained a stable growth rate. Total import and export value in the first 3 months of the year reached 16.6 billion USD, up 61.1% over the same period last year. Of which, export reached 8.44 billion USD, up 41.9%; import reached 8.17 billion USD, up 67.1%.

The province's largest export market is currently China, followed by South Korea, the US, India, Spain and several other countries. In the first 3 months of 2025, the province had 424 newly established enterprises, an increase of 36% over the same period, with registered capital reaching VND 2,487 billion. Enterprises have actively contributed to the province's socio-economic development. Budget revenue has increased significantly.

The disbursement of public investment capital has been focused on since the beginning of the year. As of March 20, the disbursement value reached nearly 770 billion VND, equal to 11.3% of the plan. There are currently no national key projects in the province, however, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has identified 15 major, key projects of the province that are subject to monitoring and direction, focusing on the fields of transportation, urban areas, infrastructure, services, environment and administrative management...

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province said that to achieve the above results, the province has assigned 105 tasks to sectors, agencies and units associated with the responsibilities of the heads. Bac Giang has mainly grown in the industrial sector but still focuses on developing agriculture and services. In the coming years, the province will continue to promote service development, attract many investors in the service sector; focus on site clearance to soon put industrial parks into operation. Regarding difficulties and obstacles, Bac Giang hopes to soon resolve them.

Focus on implementing 7 key, breakthrough solutions

According to the Plan of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, implementing Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated March 1, 2025 of the Prime Minister on key tasks and solutions, breakthroughs to promote economic growth and accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, ensuring the national growth target in 2025 reaches 8% or more, Bac Giang province sets a target of striving for the province's GRDP economic growth target in 2025 to reach 13.6% or more. In which, industry - construction increases by 16% (industry increases by 16.6%, construction increases by 8.5%); agriculture, forestry and fishery increase by 3.8%; services increase by 7.5%; product taxes increase by 10%. GRDP per capita in 2025 reaches 4,900 USD. Thereby, creating the premise and driving force to strive for economic growth in the period of 2026 - 2030 to reach 15%/year or more.

To achieve the set goals, Bac Giang province focuses on implementing 7 key and breakthrough tasks and solutions. In particular, focusing on drastically, synchronously and effectively implementing the Resolutions and Conclusions of the Central Committee, Politburo, National Assembly and Government, effectively promoting the new and breakthrough mechanisms, policies and regulations that have been issued, removing and immediately releasing resources of the economy. Continuing to prioritize time and resources to focus on perfecting institutions, mechanisms, policies and legal regulations.

Accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, take public investment as the lead, activate and attract all social resources. Promote private investment, attract FDI. Effectively exploit the domestic market, develop e-commerce and attract tourists. Promote sustainable exports. Strongly promote new growth drivers, breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, and high-quality human resources.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the directors of departments, branches, sectors, Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and heads of relevant units to focus on directing and effectively implementing the tasks in Conclusion No. 123-KL/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Party Central Committee; Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP dated February 5, 2025 of the Government; Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated March 1, 2025 of the Prime Minister and this Plan; promote the strength of solidarity, the spirit of innovation, constantly striving to be creative, daring to think and do, the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant and the desire to rise up, join hands and unite, turn all difficulties and challenges into opportunities for breakthroughs, have high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions to successfully complete the set goals.
