Bac Giang: Specialized information on science, technology, digital transformation for key officials

The conference was organized in a combination of direct and online formats from provincial to district and commune levels throughout the provincial Party Committee with a total of 204 points and more than 8,100 delegates attending.

At the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Phuc, Director of the National Digital Transformation Department (Ministry of Science and Technology) conveyed the core contents of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

According to comrade Nguyen Thanh Phuc, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW not only affirms the Party's strategic vision but also strongly inspires and motivates scientists to continue to dedicate themselves and directly contribute to the country's development.

The Resolution identified science, technology and innovation as key driving forces to promote economic growth, increase labor productivity and improve national competitiveness.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Phuc conveyed the core contents of Resolution No. 57.

The Resolution proposes breakthrough mechanisms and policies that prioritize and encourage the development of science, technology, and innovation, such as: financial investment, high-quality human resource development, administrative reform, and encouragement of public-private partnership. This vision aims to remove barriers in the system, thereby creating conditions for businesses and individuals to develop more strongly.

Next, delegates at the bridge points listened to comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, deploy the plan of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

According to the plan, the province strives to become a modern industrial province by 2030, among the top 10 provinces and cities nationwide in digital transformation and maintain its position in the top 10 provinces and cities nationwide in terms of local innovation index (PII index).

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, deployed the province's plan to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

The plan focuses on a number of key tasks such as: Raising awareness, making breakthroughs in innovative thinking, determining strong political determination, resolutely leading and directing, creating new momentum and new spirit in the whole society in developing science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Increase investment, improve digital infrastructure, develop and make use of high-quality human resources and talents to meet development requirements.

In addition, promoting digital transformation, applying science and technology, and innovation in the operations of agencies in the political system; improving governance efficiency and effectiveness of state management in all fields, ensuring national defense and security.

Promote the strong development of digital society, develop a positive and healthy digital culture and preserve national identity. Ensure network safety and security, strengthen the security of important information systems of the province...

Comrade Mai Son launched the "Popular Education" movement in the province.

At the conference, Comrade Mai Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, launched the "Digital Education for All" movement in the province. According to the plan of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the plan sets a target that by 2026, the province will have 100% of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the public sector proficient in digital skills, effectively using digital platforms to improve the quality of work; 100% of primary school students are equipped with digital knowledge, creativity, learning and ensuring safety in the digital environment; at least 80% of adults meet digital skills standards, recognized through the VNeID platform...

To achieve these goals, comrade Mai Son said: The movement will be deployed with the spirit of "Going to every alley, to every house, guiding every person", according to the motto: "Smart connection - Quick action - Strong spread" with many specific solutions such as:

Organize digital skills classes in every village, hamlet, and residential group, from using smartphones, accessing the Internet to specialized skills such as programming, e-commerce, suitable for all ages and levels.

Invest in modern digital infrastructure, ensure high-speed Internet coverage throughout the province; support digital devices for disadvantaged households.

Develop online learning platforms such as digital libraries, open courses, integrate with VNeID to track and certify digital skills. Call for the cooperation of businesses, social organizations, especially technology companies to support finance, equipment and digital skills training.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Mai Son called on all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers and people in the province to turn the "Popular Digital Education" movement into a flame of action, into an aspiration to conquer knowledge and master the future.
