Mr. Ly Ngoc Phong, Vice Chairman of Tan Uyen City People's Committee, said that the city is managing more than 2,300 school kitchens, company kitchens, hospital kitchens, food production and business establishments, catering services, and catering establishments for parties... Since the beginning of the year, the city's functional forces have inspected 107 establishments, with the result that 15 establishments did not ensure food safety; communes and wards have organized inspections of 448 establishments, with the result that 53 establishments did not ensure food safety. The inspection teams have reminded and requested establishments that did not ensure food safety to immediately correct their violations; requested the owners of the establishments to destroy products that did not ensure food safety and sign a commitment not to continue trading in food that did not ensure food safety... In addition to managing specialized fields, related sectors have increased coordination and established interdisciplinary inspection and examination teams to inspect food safety work.
In Thu Dau Mot City, Mr. Nguyen Doan Hoang Tuan, Captain of Market Management Team No. 1, said that in the first 4 months of 2025, implementing the direction of the Central and the province in strengthening food safety assurance, Market Management Team No. 1 has deployed activities such as developing and implementing a plan to inspect compliance with legal regulations for food production and trading establishments under its management authority; stepping up food contamination monitoring, market control; coordinating with relevant sectors in Thu Dau Mot City to inspect food safety at markets... Through inspection and supervision, it was found that there were still some cases of violations of legal regulations, specifically, there were still cases of using banned substances and additives, mostly at food street vendors, affecting the health of consumers...
Strengthen propaganda and supervision
According to the assessment of the Provincial Steering Committee (SC) against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods (SC 389), in general, the commodity market in the first months of 2025 in the province has been normal and stable; production and business activities have not yet had any major or prominent incidents... However, the situation of trading and transporting prohibited goods, smuggled goods, and poor quality food still occurs, especially for some popular consumer goods such as cosmetics, prepackaged processed foods, functional foods... The functional forces of the province, district and commune levels have focused on inspecting and handling many violations.
The Provincial Steering Committee 389 said that although the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods has been strengthened, it still faces many difficulties and challenges, especially in smuggling, fraud of goods origin, and goods violating intellectual property rights on the Internet. In particular, recently there has been a rise in violations of food safety regulations. The Provincial Steering Committee 389 requested the Steering Committee members and relevant agencies to identify the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods as an important and regular political task.
The representative of the Binh Duong Provincial Market Management Department said that the unit is focusing on reviewing and inspecting the compliance with food safety laws and regulations for food production and trading establishments according to the established periodic plan; promoting the implementation of the food safety topic issued in 2025, focusing on inspecting food and medicine production and trading establishments. The Department always strives to contribute to ensuring food safety and protecting people's health. In its field and scope, the Department is closely monitoring and requiring production and trading establishments to strictly implement food safety and hygiene regulations; along with that, promoting propaganda to raise consumers' awareness and choose safe food.
