The event "Hai Duong litchi season" will contribute to the consumption of Thanh Ha litchi in provinces and cities across the country and export to major markets such as Japan, the US, Australia, China... Boost exports

At Thanh Binh Square, leaders of the province, departments, branches, districts and representatives of the Joint Stock Companies: Ameii Vietnam, Hung Viet Agricultural Products, Fusa Organic Agriculture cut the ribbon to export the first tons of lychee to the markets: Japan, Australia, Europe.
As part of a series of events, the Thanh Ha – Hai Duong litchi trade promotion conference was connected online with many Vietnamese trade counselors and foreign enterprises taking place at the hall of the Thanh Ha District People's Committee. According to the objective assessment of domestic and foreign enterprises, this year Thanh Ha litchi has a bumper crop and relatively favorable consumption.

At the conference, Mr. Tong Ba Luan, Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in San Francisco (USA) expressed his view that he always supports trade promotion to boost the export of his homeland's agricultural products, especially Thanh Ha lychee products. The US market has strict requirements on plant quarantine and packaging processes. The quantity of Thanh Ha lychee products exported to the US is currently modest but has increased gradually over the years.

In the coming time, the provincial government and localities with lychees need to actively promote and guide farmers to produce according to standards and regularly connect with foreign counselors.
According to some foreign trade counselors, Thanh Ha litchi is not yet imported much because of its relatively high price, from 600,000 to 700,000 VND/kg. Foreign trade counselors committed to providing detailed information about the market so that Hai Duong agricultural products, especially Thanh Ha litchi, can be consumed smoothly.

At the end of the conference, Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company, Hung Viet Agricultural Products, and Fusa Organic Agriculture signed a commitment to jointly consume Thanh Ha lychee with cooperatives with lychee in the district.
Currently, the whole province has 8,800 hectares of lychee with an expected harvest output of about 60,000 tons, of which about 32,500 tons are early lychees and about 27,500 tons are main-season lychees. Thanh Ha lychee output is about 38,000 tons (28,000 tons of early lychees and 10,000 tons of main-season lychees).

Lychees in Hai Duong are produced according to safe processes, 12 areas have been certified by GlobalGAP, 56 areas have been certified by VietGAP, with a total area of 721 hectares. The whole province has been granted 198 lychee growing area codes to serve export according to market requirements, of which Thanh Ha district has 167 codes; 16 lychee packaging facility codes for export, mainly concentrated in Thanh Ha.

According to preliminary statistics from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the total purchasing capacity of facilities in the province reaches 650 tons/day, of which the capacity of lychee packaging facilities for export to the Japanese market reaches about 30 tons/day.
