Specifically, on National Highway 17, water was deep at Km71+400 passing through the communes of Xuan Luong, Tam Tien, and Yen The; Provincial Road 292 was flooded at Km7+00 passing through Tien Luc commune; Provincial Road 295 was flooded at Km25+300, Km27+200, Km32+800 passing through Tan Yen and Quang Trung communes.
Provincial Road 296 is flooded at Km8+750 through Hop Thinh commune; Provincial Road 298 is flooded at the following locations: Km5+400, Km6+600, Km12+200 through Tan Yen commune; Provincial Road 398B is flooded at Km20+400, Km28+650, Km36+400 through the communes: Tan Yen, My Thai, Tien Luc.

Currently, in the province, there are some locations on National Highways 17, 31, National Highway 279, Provincial Road 291 that have suffered landslides, causing rocks and soil to spill onto the roadway, blocking drainage ditches and eroding the roadside. Many roads have collapsed, damaged road surfaces, and broken traffic safety systems.
Faced with the above situation, to ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles, the Department of Construction has organized the installation of signs and ropes to warn of deep and dangerous water areas, advising people not to go through; directing functional units to continue to clear soil and rocks from the roadway, and to clear sewers and drainage ditches.
Along with that, the Department coordinated with the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police) and localities to arrange forces on duty 24/7 at deep flooded areas to guide and direct traffic.
At around 11:30 a.m. on October 13, at Km12+200, deep flooding on Provincial Road 298 through Viet Yen Ward, there were 3 traffic police officers and commune police on duty. Vehicles and motorbikes going to this area were instructed to turn onto a branch road to avoid flooding. Similarly, at other deep flooding locations in the province, there were functional forces on duty to guard and direct traffic.
According to Major Giap Van Khuong, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, recently, the unit has directed Traffic Police Teams No. 1, 2, 3, and 4 to arrange forces to patrol and control 24/24 hours on all routes during storms; coordinate with the commune police force to arrange people on duty, regulate traffic, and ensure safety for people and vehicles. The unit will continue to arrange forces on duty until the routes are safe for traffic again.
