In Phuc Hoa commune, the delegation visited the Danh mountain ginseng growing model of the Danh Duc Hanh Mountain Ginseng Cooperative. This is a growing area that the locality is focusing on restoring after many years of interruption, becoming a competitive advantage of the Danh mountain area. Phuc Hoa commune currently maintains 74 hectares of Nam ginseng; Duc Hanh Cooperative alone has 5 hectares, of which 4 hectares are produced in an organic direction, using biological products, without using pesticides. The model connects 30 more households, forming a 15-hectare growing area.
Not only restoring the native ginseng breed, the Cooperative has developed a chain of processed products including ginseng flowers, fresh and dried ginseng roots, ginseng wine, ginseng tea, ginseng honey, dried roots and leaves, etc., in which many products under the SADUHA brand have been consumed well in the market. Along with that, the model of combining experiences and visiting ginseng growing areas has initially attracted tourists and opened up a direction for developing agricultural services in Danh mountain.

The Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the efforts of the Cooperative and the people in preserving, restoring and developing the Danh mountain ginseng - a medicinal plant with special economic and cultural value of the province. He acknowledged the organic approach, the application of biological products, and the collaboration with scientists to standardize the process and test the quality of the products. This is a direction that is suitable for the requirements of sustainable agricultural development and enhancing the value of local products.
Based on the practical model, the Provincial Party Secretary assigned the agricultural sector to coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to develop a project to develop Danh mountain ginseng at the provincial level. The project needs to clearly define the planning of growing areas and favorable land mechanisms for businesses and households to expand production; strongly apply science and technology in deep processing and quality testing; build a product ecosystem associated with market demand; at the same time, strengthen promotion and trade promotion, gradually moving towards building a national brand. According to him, the development of Danh mountain ginseng needs to be associated with eco-cultural tourism in the Danh mountain area to create an agricultural-service value chain, increase income for people and spread the cultural values of Kinh Bac.
Besides medicinal plants, Phuc Hoa commune is also a large fruit growing area, with 178 hectares of guava, yielding more than 8,000 tons/year, and 858 hectares of lychee with yielding about 13,000 tons/year, of which over 90% are early ripening lychees. The locality has 25 growing area codes with 670 hectares serving export to the US, Australia, Thailand, and China. Surveying the guava growing area in Hoa Minh village and the early lychee growing area in Quat Du 2 village, the Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the local people in proactively applying science and technology, increasing productivity, maintaining quality and maintaining a stable market.

However, to increase economic value and expand the consumption market, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that sectors and localities promote deep processing, develop diversified products suitable for many customer segments; at the same time, focus on improving packaging quality and design to increase product value. Brand building, promotion and market connection need to be implemented more systematically, especially in the context of many export markets requiring high and stable quality standards.
He suggested that industries pay attention to attracting businesses to invest in post-harvest processing and preservation technology, helping to extend the consumption period, reduce the pressure of selling fresh fruit in a short time, thereby increasing people's income. Growers need to strictly follow safe production processes and maintain the reputation of the export growing area.
At the end of the working trip, the Provincial Party Secretary worked with the leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Tan Yen and Phuc Hoa communes. He acknowledged the proactive and flexible spirit and the outstanding results that the two localities achieved after implementing the two-level government model. Many areas have developed stably, especially agricultural production towards commodities, gradually forming growing areas with high economic value.
In response to local recommendations on rural transport infrastructure, investment attraction, support for fruit growing areas and tourism development, the Provincial Party Secretary assigned relevant departments and branches to study solutions and advise the province to direct the removal of obstacles in the coming time, creating conditions for the two communes to continue sustainable socio-economic development.
