The enduring commitment of youth towards the frontier

The program aims to provide comprehensive care for children and adolescents in 248 border communes, contributing to creating a foundation for sustainable development in the frontline areas of the Fatherland.

"They are a young force, full of determination, full of aspirations to rise up, playing an important role in socio-economic development and protecting the homeland border", Mr. Huy affirmed.

From the Party's major policy on rapid and sustainable development of remote, border and island areas, the First Secretary said that the Central Youth Union has concretized it with many practical programs: "March Border Month", "Spring Border - Island Tet", "Lighting up the Border"... These movements contribute to improving life, expanding knowledge and arousing the spirit of dedication of young people on the front line of the Fatherland.

In order to create long-term profound changes, the Central Youth Union officially launched the project "Vietnamese youth accompanying children in border areas for the period 2025-2030". This is considered an important milestone, affirming the steadfast commitment of the youth of the whole country to the future of border communes.

According to Mr. Bui Quang Huy, the Project is not only a support program, but also a promise of the young generation to "light up life milestones" with knowledge, volunteer spirit and love. The Project focuses on seven key target groups: mobilizing social resources; supporting learning and comprehensive development; digital transformation; start-up - career; health care and social security; cultural preservation; building living models and learning spaces suitable for border conditions.

For effective implementation, the First Secretary requested the Youth Union - Association -    The team focuses on key tasks: First, supporting economic development and entrepreneurship for youth in border areas. Each commune strives to build at least two economic models based on local potential; supporting access to capital, connecting markets, and consulting on business start-ups.

Second, promote digital transformation and equip youth with digital skills. Models of “popular digital education”, information technology classes, online public service skills, and community digital transformation networks will be widely deployed. The movement “Digital youth for digital borders” aims to narrow the technology gap between border areas and urban areas.

Third, organize volunteer activities to ensure social security according to the principle of "3 together": together, together share, together develop. Youth Union - Association - Pioneer organizations will connect resources, regularly support especially difficult border communes.

Fourth, care for the education and career orientation of young people. Priority is given to the construction of schools, learning infrastructure, and living spaces for children. Non-border provinces and cities will establish a “twinning” mechanism to support at least one border commune during the 5-year term.

Fifth, preserve and promote national cultural values. Community cultural and tourism activities will be integrated to support economic development and promote border identity.

To make the Project go into depth, the First Secretary emphasized the need for synchronous coordination between the Youth Union - Association - Young Pioneers with Party committees, authorities, Border Guards and social organizations; twinning responsibilities between strong units and border communes; and at the same time, strongly mobilizing social resources for social security projects.
