The Ethnic and Religious Committee gives gifts to people in mountainous communes.

Every story, a typical example

In the middle of the mountains and forests of A Luoi 2 commune, the clear laughter of Ta Oi and Pa Co students resounds every morning. At Nham Kindergarten, the model of "Enhancing Vietnamese for ethnic minority children" has become a bright spot in the journey of spreading knowledge and preserving identity. Here, 100% of children learn Vietnamese through their mother tongue, and are able to converse, communicate, and boldly express their opinions in front of friends and adults.

The wide eyes, the hesitant and then gradually bold words - are the results of a process of perseverance and dedication of teachers in the highlands. Each song, each story is integrated with the mother tongue, so that Vietnamese comes to children in a natural and familiar way. A small model, but contains great power - opening up equal learning opportunities for children in the great mountains.

Not only in education, the spirit of innovation in A Luoi 2 is also clearly shown in production and economic development. In Pi Ay 1 village, Mr. Nguyen Hai Teo, a Ta Oi farmer, is affectionately called by the locals: "Mr. Teo is good at economics". With a bio-safety livestock model, he built a 500m² barn, raised 10-12 sows and 200-250 pigs; each year, he earned hundreds of millions of VND in revenue. In addition, he also took advantage of the garden land to successfully build fruit orchards, providing a stable income. From his experience, he enthusiastically guided the people around him on techniques, shared seeds, and helped many households escape poverty. "I think I should share what I know so that everyone can get better. Whoever asks for techniques, I will give them enthusiastic instructions, whoever lacks seeds, I will separate the herd to support. Only when our people escape poverty will the village be happy", young farmer Hai Teo shared.

Spreading the spirit of innovation

These small but effective models are contributing to the changing picture in A Luoi 2 commune - a locality newly merged from many central communes, now becoming a bright spot in the patriotic emulation movement in ethnic minority areas. Up to now, the whole A Luoi 2 commune has more than 60 typical advanced models in many fields: Economic development, cultural preservation, education , security and order, digital transformation.

Mr. Phan Duy Khanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of A Luoi 2 Commune, shared: "We consider the discovery, fostering and replication of advanced typical models as a key task. When every citizen is encouraged to promote initiatives and solidarity, the emulation movement will truly go into depth, creating a driving force for sustainable development."

Not only A Luoi 2, the movement to build advanced models has also spread to many other mountainous localities. In A Luoi 5 commune, Giong village is one of the bright spots showing the spreading power of the movement to build cultural life in the highlands. For many years, the village has considered the formation of a civilized lifestyle and happy families as a key task, closely linked with the new rural program and local emulation movements.

From village activities to the loudspeaker system and social networks, the content of mobilizing people to preserve culture, solidarity, and obey the law is regularly implemented. The Women's Union, Youth Union, Farmers' Association, etc. play a core role in encouraging members to build cultural families and studious families. Thanks to that cooperation, the appearance of Giong village has changed significantly: Inter-village roads have been concreted, flower roads and green fences cover all the alleys; "Green Sunday" has become a routine; more than 90% of households have registered and expected to achieve the title of Cultural Family in 2025. Self-management models on environment, security and order have been effective, the poverty rate has decreased to below 5%.

The models in A Luoi 2, A Luoi 5 and other localities show that the biggest common point is the spirit of self-reliance and creativity of the people and the companionship of the government. Each model is a story of faith and will, the crystallization of the patriotic emulation movement from the grassroots.

Mr. Le Xuan Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, emphasized: “Building and replicating advanced typical models is one of the key tasks, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, sustainable poverty reduction and preserving national cultural identity. We hope that localities will continue to share and learn from each other to progress together.”
