Southern Working Committee received nearly 2.3 billion VND to support people affected by natural disasters

Mr. Vu Van Thang - General Director of Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia said that tropical storm No. 3 (storm Yagi ) with very strong winds has severely devastated many areas in the North of our country. The storm caused floods in low-lying areas, riverbanks and flash floods, landslides in highland and mountainous areas. The above situation has caused great damage to people, houses, crops of the people; many roads and other infrastructures were damaged.

The contribution to support people affected by storms and floods is in line with the Vietnamese tradition of mutual support and mutual assistance and is part of Herbalife’s long-term commitment to supporting communities in need. “We hope that the joint efforts of the Government , organizations and individuals across the country will help our people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives,” said Mr. Thang.

According to a representative of Herbalife Vietnam, the above amount was taken from the company's fund. Currently, the amount of 2 billion VND has been transferred to the Central Relief Committee's account.

In addition, Herbalife Vietnam Company has also mobilized contributions from leaders, employees, and partners, reaching over VND800 million. The company has used this fund to coordinate support to provide food, necessities, and other essential items to people and communities in damaged areas.

On the same morning, Tan Thuan Tien Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Industrial Park, Binh Tan, Ho Chi Minh City) also went to the Southern Working Committee to present a symbolic board, including 10,500 200-page notebooks, worth a total of 262.5 million VND, to support local people, students and pupils affected by typhoon Yagi.
