Issue a Resolution amending and supplementing the 2013 Constitution, effective from June 19, 2025.

(GLO)- The National Assembly Chairman approved Resolution No. 194/2025/QH15 amending the 2013 Constitution on the first working day of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly with 100% approval, effective from June 19, 2025.

Specifically: Resolution No. 194/2025/QH15 decides to consider amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to implement the policy of arranging and streamlining the apparatus of the political system; focusing on regulations on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the delimitation of administrative units and local government organizations.

Accordingly, the National Assembly established a Committee to draft amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution to preside over and coordinate with agencies to develop a draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution and submit it to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the 9th session.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Director of the Department of Criminal and Administrative Law ( Ministry of Justice ), said that according to the plan of the Committee for drafting amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution, by June 3, 2025 at the latest, the Ministry of Justice will submit to the Government a draft report summarizing opinions of the people, sectors and levels on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; by June 5, 2025 at the latest, the Government will submit to the Committee for drafting amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution.
