This afternoon, January 25, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council worked with the Departments of Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board on related contents to be submitted to the 23rd session of the 8th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board reported on the process of consulting and preparing contents for the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision on the policy of changing the purpose of forest use to another purpose to implement the Investment Project to build My Thuy Port Area, Hai Lang District, Quang Tri Province (Phase 1) for an area of 18.5124 hectares of production forest.
The representative of the Department of Planning and Investment reported on the process of consulting and preparing contents for the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision at the 23rd session, including: Investment policy for the projects of embankment to prevent landslides on the Dakrong riverbank through Dakrong district; urgent repair of embankment to prevent landslides on the Thach Han riverbank through Quang Tri town, Trieu Phong district; repair of damaged embankment to prevent floods on the Vinh Phuoc river through Ha Xa village, Trieu Ai commune, Trieu Phong district.
Comments on the proposed adjustment of the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period using central budget capital. Adjusting the central budget development investment capital plan for 2024 to implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction; extending the capital allocation period for projects using decentralized budget capital managed by district level.
After listening to representatives of units discussing the contents related to the investment policy of the projects, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Anh requested the Department of Planning and Investment, based on the opinions of the units, to finalize the content as a basis for the appraisal committee to submit to the meeting.
Agree on adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period using central budget capital; adjusting the central budget development investment capital plan for 2024 to implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
Regarding the proposal to extend the capital allocation time for projects using decentralized budget capital managed by district level, the Provincial People's Committee and related localities are requested to supplement procedures to submit to the meeting.
