On the afternoon of April 25, the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council (PC) held a meeting to review the draft Resolutions submitted at the 14th extraordinary session of the 10th Provincial People's Council. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Kieu The Lam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan, along with leaders of the Office of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant provincial departments and branches attended.

After examining the draft Resolution approving the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units of Dong Thap province and the draft Resolution on the policy of rearranging Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces, the delegates basically agreed with the content of the draft 2 resolutions.
Accordingly, after the reorganization, Dong Thap province has a total of 45 commune-level administrative units (including 7 wards and 38 communes), reducing 96 commune-level administrative units, reaching a rate of 68.09%. Delegates agreed with the reorganization policy of Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces.
After the Resolution is passed, the Legal Committee requests the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant agencies to promptly complete the dossier and Project to submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision, and at the same time request the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations to coordinate in propagating, mobilizing, creating consensus among the people and coordinating in supervising the implementation of the Resolution.
Delegates contribute opinions on the content of the draft Resolution
Regarding the draft Resolution approving the Plan for developing trade, border economy, service sectors, production and business and developing logistics services in the Dong Thap Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, after discussion, the Legal Committee agreed with the draft Resolution and plan submitted by the Provincial People's Committee.
After reviewing the draft Resolution approving the Overall Development Plan for Energy and Electricity in the Planning of Dong Thap Province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the Legal Committee agreed with the content of the draft Resolution. The Legal Committee requested the submitting agency to clarify the content of the trend of developing waste-to-energy and biomass power, which is very suitable for handling environmental pollution reduction, reducing land use, and taking advantage of agricultural by-products; in implementing the energy and electricity development plan, there should be mechanisms and policies to attract investors to participate in developing power sources to diversify power sources.
Head of the Legal Department Nguyen Huu Duc delivered a concluding speech during the review session.
Through the results of the review meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc - Head of the Legal Department requested the Provincial People's Committee to fully update the documents attached to the draft Resolution and have a report clarifying the issues in the draft Resolution so that the Provincial People's Council delegates can clearly know and discuss and pass the resolution.
