(PLVN) - More than 200 delegates including Central leaders, experts, journalists, businessmen... attended the Forum "Press accompanies businesses for sustainable development in the era of national growth" organized by the Economic & Urban Newspaper and the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda on the morning of June 5. Here, many issues related to the press and businesses were discussed, aiming to further strengthen the mutual and symbiotic relationship between the press and businesses, contributing to the development of the country's economy.

In his opening speech at the Forum, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Editor-in-Chief of Economic and Urban Newspaper emphasized: We are living in a period when the nation is entering an era of strong growth. The private economy (PE) is not only a pillar, but also an important driving force for national growth.

Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private sector has opened up a legal corridor, created a favorable investment environment, promoted innovation and deep integration. Therefore, the press needs to demonstrate its mission as a "trusted companion" reflecting the voice of enterprises, proposing policies, spreading positive models and promoting and building a public, transparent and developing business environment...

Mr. Nguyen Duc Kien - Former Deputy Chairman of the Economic Committee of the 14th National Assembly affirmed: With the change of the State apparatus, the responsibility of innovation is placed heavily on the shoulders of enterprises, including three pillars: private enterprises; state-owned enterprises and FDI enterprises. In the current context, enterprises are competing fiercely (competition between enterprises, domestic enterprises and FDI enterprises; domestic and international enterprises...). Therefore, the press must accompany, support and protect enterprises. We must "separate the bad from the good", share the difficulties of enterprises...

"We hope that the press will not only be a companion, but also a part of the development structure of businesses," Mr. Kien shared.

Dr. Nguyen Tri Hieu - Director of the Institute for Financial Development and Global Real Estate Market Research commented that the Vietnamese press system is very modern and developed. However, the press is competing fiercely with social networks, leading to risks when facing the risks of social networks. Some press agencies still lack humanity, some journalists take advantage of the press for personal gain...
