Nghe An Press crowned for the 7th time

After 2 days of exciting competition, the 11th Central Journalism Football Tournament - 2025 ended with the final match between the host Da Nang City Journalism Football Club (JFC Da Nang) and the defending champion Nghe An Journalism team (Rclub Nghe An) on the afternoon of June 1.

Given the importance of the final match, both teams started the match cautiously. However, the Bao Chi players took full advantage of JFC Da Nang 's defensive lapses to take a 3-0 lead. In the final minutes, Nguyen Thanh scored a consolation goal for the home team from the penalty spot. With a 3-1 victory, Bao Chi Nghe An successfully defended its championship title. This is also the 7th championship for the Nghe An Newspaper team after 11 tournaments.

Host JFC Da Nang came in second place, followed by Thanh Hoa Press, Binh Dinh Press, Quang Tri Press Alliance, Hue Press, Ha Tinh Press and Quang Nam Press Alliance.

Player Hoang Hung of Nghe An Newspaper won the title of Best Player of the tournament while Hoang Quan (JFC Da Nang) and Duc Anh (Thanh Hoa Newspaper) were awarded the Golden Boot with 6 goals. Goalkeeper Tran Le Minh (Nghe An Newspaper) won the title of Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

Journalist Le Vu Cuong (Binh Dinh Press Alliance) said that this is a very meaningful playground for journalists at the time of celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press. Maintaining the tournament through 11 times of organization proves the great efforts of the hosting units as well as the agreement and response of the press clubs of the Central provinces. "Hopefully this playground will be maintained and increasingly developed so that journalists in the Central region have the opportunity to meet and exchange every year," Mr. Cuong expressed.

The 12th Central Press Football Tournament will be held in Ha Tinh in early June 2026.
