According to the Jury, many of the award-winning works have high discovery, rich sources of information and unique perspectives, contributing to creating healthy competition among authors, while raising professional standards of regional journalism. In addition to common socio -economic topics, many works focus on exploiting everyday stories rich in humanity or less-noticed issues such as preserving ethnic minority culture, sustainable development and the environment.
The leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association assessed that the 3rd Southeast Region Press Award is an important event to honor the contributions of journalists in the region in spreading the image, potential and achievements of the Southeast region. The entries not only truthfully and vividly reflect the reality of the locality and region but also contribute to orienting public opinion, encouraging the spirit of solidarity and consensus of the people and Party committees and authorities at all levels to overcome difficulties and move towards the goal of sustainable development.

In particular, the Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized: In 2025 and early 2026, many important events of strategic significance will take place for the development of the Southeast region and the whole country, including the press sector. These include the implementation of Resolution 18, Party Congresses at all levels towards the National Party Congress, the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, etc. This is also an opportunity for press agencies and journalists to demonstrate their ability to produce articles with large amounts of information, rich and modern forms, highly directional, accompanied by proposals and solutions, in line with the trend of "solution journalism". The purpose is to bring the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and State into real life.
Building a cultural environment in the press agency
Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Tran Trong Dung proposed a solution: The press needs to promote the dissemination of new viewpoints and policies of the Party and State such as the implementation of Resolution 18 on streamlining the apparatus, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of serving the people, Resolution 57 of the Party on developing science and technology; policies on enhancing the role of private enterprises... At the same time, pay attention to policy criticism, contributing to overcoming shortcomings, weaknesses, and bottlenecks to promote all-round development of the region.
The leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association also emphasized that in the process of merging Associations and press agencies, it is necessary to ensure the comprehensive leadership of the Party and the State management of the government. On the other hand, it is necessary to pay special attention to creating a consensus on the awareness and importance of the policy of merging and streamlining the apparatus. The purpose is to increase efficiency, promote the spirit of solidarity, especially in the leadership, become the nucleus of solidarity in the unit, continue to have many practical activities in the emulation movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies", build an exciting and optimistic working atmosphere along with maintaining strict discipline and order. That is an important foundation for press agencies to create valuable products and bring about good social effects.
Another important content is that in the condition that provincial press agencies are merged, the area of operation of journalists will be wider, with more fields and issues to write about. Working in such conditions requires the Southeast press to continue training and fostering modern and creative journalism skills for the team of journalists. At the same time, actively transforming digitally, improving the digital capacity of newsroom activities not only in production but also in the distribution of press content. In particular, the development of online platforms, social networks, and multimedia communications will help expand the scope of information access, increase interaction and feedback from the community and society.
