Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, highly appreciated the efforts of the collective of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, one of the pioneering newspapers in digitalization.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong hopes that the newspaper will continue to do a good job of communicating policies, promoting the city's image to friends around the world and the whole country; pay attention to introducing advanced models and examples in all fields, especially good people doing good deeds, good workers and laborers.
According to comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, the city leaders hope that the Lao Dong Newspaper will continue to strongly implement digital transformation, contributing to promoting the overall digital transformation activities of the whole city. Accordingly, the newspaper's digital transformation activities are not only to improve the quality, attractiveness and effectiveness of information but also to serve the increasingly high and diverse information needs of the city's people.
The Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper was born in late July 1975, with its predecessor being the Liberation Workers Newspaper. After 50 years of formation and continuous development, the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has become a prestigious press agency with a solid position in the Vietnamese revolutionary press.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Huynh Thanh Dat congratulated the collective leadership, reporters, editors and staff of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper - the agency of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for 50 years of serving the Fatherland and the people. According to him, the newspaper not only fulfills well the political and propaganda tasks assigned by the Party and the State, but is also an effective forum and information bridge between the Party, the State and the people.
According to journalist To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, in the past 5 years, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has entered a development phase with many challenges but with unprecedented determination. The newspaper has also restructured, streamlined its apparatus, modernized its journalism process, promoted digital transformation, synchronously developed print newspapers, electronic newspapers, social networks, multimedia, organized a series of community service programs, dozens of competitions, forums, seminars, online exchanges, and talk shows.
At the celebration, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper launched the program "One million trees for borders and islands", contributing to protecting national sovereignty, improving the environment, limiting damage from natural disasters and increasingly severe climate change.
