Nhan Dan Newspaper donates 500 million VND to people affected by storms and floods.

On September 16th, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , a delegation from the Nhan Dan Newspaper, led by Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh, presented 500 million VND to support people in localities affected by Typhoon No. 3 and prolonged heavy rains and floods.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that along with the contribution of over 300 million VND from 830 cadres, reporters, editors, and staff members in the editorial office, Nhan Dan Newspaper also mobilized additional funds from social sources to support flood victims, bringing the total amount donated to approximately 500 million VND.

"Although the donation is small, it shows the heartfelt commitment of Nhan Dan Newspaper to joining hands with the whole country to support people affected by natural disasters in overcoming difficulties and stabilizing their lives as soon as possible," said Comrade Le Quoc Minh.

In particular, on October 5th, Nhan Dan Newspaper plans to organize a concert featuring the world- renowned band Bond. This event is part of the "Good Morning Vietnam" program series organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with IB Group, starting in 2023.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh stated that all proceeds from ticket sales for this event will be donated to support people in the northern provinces affected by Typhoon Yagi and the subsequent devastating floods.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Comrade Do Van Chien, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, expressed gratitude for the joint efforts and contributions of Nhan Dan Newspaper in supporting the people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

He also expressed his gratitude to the news agencies and press in general, including Nhan Dan Newspaper, for promptly and comprehensively disseminating information on various aspects to serve the flood and storm prevention and control efforts of the entire Party, people, and army.
