Ho Chi Minh Museum receives many valuable documents and artifacts

On November 6, in Hanoi, to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Museum (November 25, 1970 - November 25, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh Museum held a ceremony to receive documents and artifacts in 2025.

Documents, photos, and paintings about President Ho Chi Minh were presented by the family of former Deputy Prime Minister Dang Viet Chau, the family of former Minister of Health Hoang Tich Tri, the family of Ms. Phan Thi An - former Head of the International Department, Vietnam Women's Union, the family of musician Tran Hoan... and a number of individuals, collectors, and artists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, affirmed: President Ho Chi Minh - national liberation hero, outstanding cultural figure, left us a huge legacy of ideology, morality, style and life example, including a system of priceless documents and artifacts associated with the arduous but extremely glorious historical journeys of the nation.

Therefore, collecting, preserving, researching and promoting the value of documents and artifacts associated with the life, revolutionary career, ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh is the sacred responsibility of every organization and individual before history, before the people and future generations.

Dr. Vu Manh Ha said that after 55 years of construction and development, the Ho Chi Minh Museum has collected and received tens of thousands of documents and artifacts related to the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh at home and abroad.

The museum has truly become a center for preserving, storing and promoting the heritage value of President Ho Chi Minh, a place where organizations and individuals trust and donate documents and artifacts about Uncle Ho.

Today's reception is a meaningful milestone in the journey of preserving and spreading the value of Ho Chi Minh's heritage to millions of domestic visitors and international friends, and at the same time is a testament to the people's companionship, sharing and trust in the Museum, as well as the Vietnamese people's respect for beloved Uncle Ho.

At the ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh Museum received photos of President Ho Chi Minh and a number of delegates and children at the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Workers' Party, the Lien-Viet Front and the Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos Alliance, respectfully donated by Ms. Dang Minh Chau (daughter of former Deputy Prime Minister Dang Viet Chau) and Ms. Vu Thu Giang (daughter of Ms. Phan Thi An).

This is a valuable source of information, reflecting the strength of solidarity and unity of the entire nation under the leadership of the Party, headed by President Ho Chi Minh, the close friendship between Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and Uncle Ho's boundless love for children - the future generation of the country.

In addition, the Museum also received a number of letters and documents expressing the affection and close relationship between President Ho Chi Minh and comrade Dang Viet Chau - an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, who was trusted by Uncle Ho to hold many important positions in the Government, and made many contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, especially in the fields of industry and trade, finance, banking...

On this occasion, the family of former Minister of Health Hoang Tich Tri presented the Museum with a photo of President Ho Chi Minh and several members of the Government; and photos of activities of Minister of Health Hoang Tich Tri and several medical staff in the Viet Bac resistance base.

This is the second donation of artifacts by the late Minister's family to the Ho Chi Minh Museum. He was a patriotic intellectual who participated in the Government from the early days of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and was also an exemplary scientist assigned by President Ho Chi Minh to lay the foundation and build the revolutionary health sector of Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong presented the museum with photos of President Ho Chi Minh with representatives of several organizations and groups who came to celebrate his 60th birthday in the “Capital of Resistance” 75 years ago. This is a valuable document, vividly demonstrating the deep affection of the Vietnamese people for President Ho Chi Minh.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha presented the museum with several copies of the “Declaration of Independence” dated September 2, 1945 of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the newspaper Cuu Quoc, which she collected from the archives of the French Republic and Vietnam. These valuable documents contribute to supporting the research and exhibition of the sacred historical moment of 1945 of the nation.

The family of the late musician Tran Hoan presented the Museum with manuscripts of music and lyrics of some songs about President Ho Chi Minh by musician Tran Hoan. These are original documents, directly reflecting the musician's creative process on the topic of President Ho Chi Minh, and at the same time are an important source of documents serving the research of artists' thoughts and feelings towards Uncle Ho, as well as the role of music in propagating and spreading the value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in the national cultural life.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh Museum also received propaganda paintings that won prizes in propaganda painting competitions to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the 110th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2021), and the 75th anniversary of National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 - December 19, 2021) organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. These are artistic creations that reflect the breath of the times, expressing the artists' respect and gratitude for beloved Uncle Ho.

Not only are they sacred relics of a historical period, the documents and artifacts received by the museum are also symbols of respect, responsibility and gratitude of generations towards President Ho Chi Minh.

“Behind each document and artifact is a story, a heart. Therefore, we are committed to preserving, conserving and promoting the value of these precious documents and artifacts with all the highest sense of responsibility and respect, so that every Vietnamese citizen and every international friend who comes to the Museum can feel more clearly the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh - the priceless spiritual heritage of the Vietnamese people”, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum emphasized.
