Police force takes statements from motorbike theft group

The arrested subjects are aged from 15 to 21, including: Nguyen Huu K., Pham Cong K., Duong Van C., Phan Tran Tuan V., Nguyen Thanh T. (all five subjects reside in Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city), Nguyen Tran P., Tran K. (both reside in Phu Loc district, Hue city).

Previously, at around 3:00 a.m. on May 24, during an undercover patrol, Lang Co Town Police discovered and caught red-handed three subjects Nguyen Huu K., Duong Van C. and Phan Tran Tuan V. stealing a Wave motorbike in An Cu Dong 1 residential group, Lang Co Town. Through investigation, the three subjects confessed that at 0:30 a.m. on the same day, they had just stolen another motorbike in the area.

Realizing that this was a professional, inter-provincial motorbike theft group, Lang Co Town Police reported to the Hue City Police Department; at the same time, coordinated and exchanged expertise with the Hue City Police Department's Criminal Police Department to expand the case.

Through the investigation, collection of evidence, documents and sharp arguments, the three subjects were forced to confess to having four other accomplices living in Da Nang City. These subjects were all involved in previous motorbike thefts in Phu Loc district.

The Criminal Police Department deployed a working group in coordination with the Da Nang City Police to arrest 4 fugitives including Pham Cong K., Nguyen Thanh T., Nguyen Tran P., Tran K. and transferred them to the Hue City Police Headquarters for questioning. Through the investigation, the suspects confessed that they took advantage of the late night and the loopholes in the supervision and protection of people's property to steal motorbikes. From March 30, 2025 to the time of arrest, the suspects had committed 5 thefts of 6 motorbikes in Phu Loc district.

It is known that these are all homeless, unemployed people who have repeatedly committed property theft in Da Nang City and Da Nang City Police are preparing a case to handle according to regulations.
