“The VTV Cup Ferroli 2023 International Women's Volleyball Tournament takes place in Lao Cai and is considered one of the outstanding events in the series of activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Lao Cai and 120 years of Sapa tourism . Lao Cai also considers this an opportunity to promote its unique cultural features as well as famous landscapes to domestic and foreign tourists. Therefore, we have arranged 7 experience tours for 7 teams so that they can conquer Fansipan peak, explore the unique features in Y Ti, Bac Ha, Sapa…”, said the Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee.
Notably, VTV Cup Ferroli 2023 is also the first tournament in its 17-year history that the Organizing Committee has applied Video Challenge Eyes technology to support referees. Similar to VAR technology in football, Video Challenge Eyes will ensure fairness and dramatic appeal of the matches.
In particular, to honor the champion, the prize for the championship of this year's tournament will increase to 12,000 USD, instead of 10,000 USD as in previous tournaments. In addition, if the representative of Vietnam wins the championship, Rapido (a brand originating from Germany acquired by Ferroli Group in 2001) will reward all athletes and coaching staff with branded gift certificates with a total value of up to 400 million VND.
