Mueller played impressively in his last "German classic" match in a Bayern shirt.

Maximilian Beier broke the deadlock with a close-range header in the 48th minute to put Dortmund 1-0 up.

The unexpected loss forced the "Gray Tigers" to push up their formation to pressure the opponent and they quickly regained the advantage in the second half with two consecutive goals.

In the 65th minute, Thomas Mueller created a favorable wall, creating conditions for Raphael Guerreiro to finish with a tricky shot to equalize 1-1.

Just four minutes later, Serge Gnabry broke through three Dortmund players and fired a difficult shot that forced goalkeeper Gregor Kobel to pick the ball out of the net for the second time.

The drama of the "German Super Classic" match was pushed higher when Dortmund only needed 6 minutes to score the equalizer 2-2 thanks to Waldemar Anton.

The remaining minutes of the match were exciting but no more goals were scored.

Drawing 2-2 with Dortmund, Bayern still has the advantage in the race for the Bundesliga title, but for Thomas Muller - he did not have a victory in the last "German classic" match in Bayern Munich's shirt.

In the Der Klassiker match, Thomas Mueller played for more than 80 minutes and contributed an assist for his teammate to score.

Thomas Mueller and the "Gray Tigers" first faced Dortmund in the 2009-2010 season. Since then, he has met Dortmund in a total of 29 matches in the Bundesliga (won 16, drawn 5, lost 8); 7 DFB Pokal matches (won 4, drawn 3); one match in the Champions League; 8 DFL Super Cup matches (won 5, lost 3). In 45 appearances in the "German classic", Thomas Mueller scored 14 goals and had 9 assists.

Thomas Mueller will leave Bayern Munich this summer after nearly 25 years with the team and many memorable achievements in all competitions.

Mueller's number of titles with Bayern will certainly continue to increase as the Bavarians are facing the opportunity to be crowned champions in the Bundesliga this season.

Previously, Thomas Mueller shared on Bayern Munich's homepage: "My 25 years with FC Bayern as a player will end this summer."

Mueller said he wanted to stay with the club but that did not happen when Bayern Munich decided not to renew his contract: "The club decided not to negotiate a new contract with me for next season. I hoped for a different decision, but I respect this step, which was certainly not easy for the board of directors and the executive board."

After 29 rounds, Bayern Munich has 69 points, 6 points ahead of competitor Bayer Leverkusen, with only 5 more rounds left to end the season.

In addition, Bayern Munich has another goal, which is the Champions League championship - a tournament in which they have reached the quarter-finals (losing 1-2 to Inter Milan in the first leg).
