In his closing speech, Comrade Que Dinh Nguyen, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper emphasized: During the 6 days of the tournament, nearly 200 athletes from 17 table tennis delegations from provinces, cities and industries across the country enthusiastically competed, creating an attractive and dramatic tournament.
This is one of the largest tournaments in terms of the number of participating athletes and also attracts the attention of the public, spectators, and fans who come directly to the stadium or follow through the press and social networks.
With innovations in organization and professional quality, the 42nd National Table Tennis Championship of Nhan Dan Newspaper for the PetroVietnam - PVCFC Cup in 2024 has contributed to enhancing the position and brand of a national top table tennis tournament.
Besides the leading and excellent athletes of the country's table tennis, continuing to affirm their strength, this year's national championship also recognized the young athletes who are gradually asserting themselves and promising to have new successes in the future.
With enthusiasm, passion and desire to win, they brought great challenges to the experienced professional tennis players. Although they did not create spectacular changes and achieve the highest results, they contributed to the change, making the tournament more exciting and fiercely competitive in each event.
This year’s tournament also shows that the professional level of Vietnamese table tennis has improved a lot, gradually catching up with the changes in international table tennis techniques and tactics. The athletes who achieved high results at the tournament demonstrated their top professional skills as well as competitive mentality, endurance and speed.
Comrade Tran Huu Viet, Head of the Culture and Arts Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament, presided over the closing ceremony .
Because of that, the championships in the events still belong to the top teams and athletes of our country's table tennis village. Fans have witnessed the tense but extremely attractive semi-final and final matches between players from strong table tennis centers in the country: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong Long Hai, T&T People's Police, Army...
Therefore, we are not too surprised when the Ho Chi Minh City women's team with experienced players: Mai Hoang My Trang, Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh, Phan Hoang Tuong Giang won the women's team championship for the fifth consecutive time. There is also not much surprise when two teams from the same city, Hanoi of Nguyen Anh Tu, Le Tien Dat and Cong An Nhan Dan T&T of Dinh Anh Hoang, Dinh Duc, met in the men's team final.

Not only that, looking at the overall achievements in doubles, it can be said that the 2024 tournament continues to belong to players from the capital when athletes from the two teams of People's Public Security T&T (formerly Hanoi T&T) and Hanoi dominate both men's and women's doubles after victories over couples from Hai Duong Long Hai and Ho Chi Minh City.
Meanwhile, the faces of the People's Public Security of T&T and Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City such as Anh Tu, My Trang and Anh Hoang, Mai Ngoc entered the mixed doubles final. The players of the above strong table tennis centers also almost dominated the men's and women's singles when they participated in the semi-finals and reached the final.

These results have demonstrated the strength as well as the competitiveness, clearly classifying the level of athletes when going deep into the tournament. Through the tournament, it can be seen that, in order to develop and keep up with the level of strong table tennis centers, localities and industries need to pay attention to investing, improving the level of athletes, creating conditions for them to practice, compete, and compete in professional tournaments at home and abroad, helping them to develop their abilities, and at the same time feel secure in pursuing a long-term career.
Comrade Que Dinh Nguyen praised the efforts of the Organizing Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Table Tennis Federation, and thanked the support of the Provincial Party Committee, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, and Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports for helping the tournament to be a great success.
Overcoming many difficulties, the Organizing Committee of the 42nd National Table Tennis Championship of Nhan Dan Newspaper has made every effort to ensure the success of the tournament, continuing to innovate, increasingly professionalizing the organization, creating the best environment and conditions for competition with forms of encouragement and motivation to improve professional quality, attracting the attention of audiences and table tennis fans nationwide.
With the support of units and businesses, this year, the tournament organizers continue to have a record high prize level in the tournament's history for 28 sets of medals in seven competitions along with five other prizes from the organizers with a total value of nearly 500 million VND.
Deputy Editor-in-Chief Que Dinh Nguyen and Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu presented medals and trophies to the winning teams in the women's team event.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee officially awarded medals to the teams and individuals who performed excellently in each event. At the same time, the Best Young Male Athlete Award was also given to tennis player Do Manh Luong (T&T People's Police), while the Best Young Female Athlete Award was given to female athlete: Nguyen Nhu Quynh (Ho Chi Minh City).
Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports and Nghe An Provincial Table Tennis Team were awarded the locality for hosting the tournament and the locality actively developing the table tennis movement.
The Organizing Committee also announced the results of the election of female athlete Vo Kim Tham (Tay Ninh) as Miss of the 42nd Nhan Dan Newspaper National Table Tennis Championship in 2024.
