The Northeast New Urban Area Project ( Ben Tre City) is located along the East-West Highway.
The People's Council of Ben Tre province issued Resolution No. 30/NQ-HDND dated May 29, 2025 on abolishing the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on approving the policy of proposing investment projects for new urban areas in Ben Tre province. Accordingly, 20 investment projects for the construction of urban areas and residential areas in the province were abolished.
The cancelled projects were mainly in the investment calling list approved from 2015 to 2020, distributed in the districts of Chau Thanh, Giong Trom, Binh Dai, Thanh Phu, Mo Cay Bac, Mo Cay Nam, Cho Lach and Ben Tre City. Of which, the most were in Ben Tre City with 11 new urban area construction projects cancelled.
Resolution No. 30/NQ-HDND takes effect from the date of approval, May 29, 2025. The Provincial People's Council assigns the Provincial People's Committee to organize the implementation of the project.
