Building a VietGAHP certified beef cattle farming model

In 2025, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center will coordinate with Nga My and Xuan Phuong communes (Phu Binh) to build a VietGAHP certified beef cattle farming model associated with product consumption linkage (2 households participating, raising scale of 100 fattening cows).

Households participating in the VietGAHP certified beef cattle farming model associated with product consumption linkage are supported with mixed feed for cattle.

Households participating in the model are provided with veterinary medicine to deworm internal and external parasites; training on breeding work in beef cattle farming, beef cattle farming techniques according to VietGAHP standards; veterinary work in beef cattle farming and herd management; how to calculate economic efficiency... In addition, people are also supported with mixed feed for cows (6,750 kg/household).

Currently, in the province, there are over 180 farms and livestock facilities certified for safe production according to VietGAP standards (mainly raising chickens and pigs). Therefore, building a VietGAHP certified beef cattle farming model associated with product consumption linkage is a right direction, helping people exploit the potential and strengths in raising large livestock, bringing higher economic efficiency. Especially when the buffalo and cow herd of Thai Nguyen is developing quite stably with a total scale of 95 thousand heads.
