A woman in Thailand's northern Chiang Rai province is seeking help from local authorities after her neighbors used security cameras to spy on her, flew drones over her house and threatened to break into her residence.
According to information published in The Thaiger, Ms. Pennapha, also known as Yui, revealed details of the dispute with a male neighbor to ThaiRath news agency and invited journalists to visit her home in Wiang Phang Kham, Mae Sai district in Chiang Rai.
Yui was pointing to the camera her neighbor installed right in front of her house for the reporter to see.
During an interview at her residence, Yui explained that she lives in a private house next to her mother’s house, both on the same property. However, her life has recently become tense after a neighbor installed a security camera right in front of her house and bedroom.
The man who was Yui's neighbor knew that reporters were coming after looking at the security camera and immediately turned the camera away from Yui's house. He even shouted from his house: "I've fixed the problem!"
Yui added that her neighbor not only bothered her with the camera, but also shone lights into her house and sometimes made strange sounds to annoy her. Yui had to change her curtains to block the light and use tape on her windows to prevent her neighbor from seeing her from outside.

What scared her even more, Yui revealed, was the challenge her neighbor shared on his social media account. Specifically, in one post, the man shared a video of himself flying a drone into Yui’s house with the caption: “Be careful, I can enter your house at any time.”
Yui said she reported the matter to the local authorities, prompting the man to stop his actions. However, he only stopped for a short time before returning to stalking her as usual.
Yui's mother told the media that the neighbor also parked his car in front of her house and started the engine to annoy her and her daughter. Yui and her mother hope that the relevant authorities will take their problem seriously and take sustainable measures to stop the man from stalking her.
A similar stalking incident happened to Thai internet celebrity Mintra “Pare” Cheuwangkam, also known as Mintan to her fans. She was followed and harassed by a stalker who had previously worked as a security guard for several years. The stalker was arrested several times but was released and continued to harass her.
