Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang: Promises made to voters must be kept.

Responding to the opinions of voters in Dong Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang affirmed that, in his capacity as a National Assembly representative and Party Secretary, there will be a mechanism to monitor the resolution of voters' opinions.

On December 16th, Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, along with delegates from Unit No. 12 of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, held a meeting with voters in Dong Hoa Ward (Ho Chi Minh City).

Also attending the meeting with voters were National Assembly deputies: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Deputies, 15th term; Le Van Kham, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society; and Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology.

During the meeting, voters expressed their opinions on issues related to people's lives and social welfare. Many voters were particularly concerned about the organization and operation of the two-tiered local government model, resolving project obstacles, land subdivision, and cumbersome and lengthy administrative procedures.

After listening to the voters' opinions, on behalf of the delegation, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang acknowledged that the voters' opinions were constructive and relevant to their lives. He affirmed that the National Assembly delegation has the responsibility to forward these opinions to the appropriate authorities for proper resolution.

Comrade Tran Luu Quang affirmed that, in his capacity as a National Assembly representative and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, there will be a mechanism to monitor the resolution of voters' opinions. "We must fulfill our promises. Hopefully, the next time we meet, the people will no longer be upset," Comrade Tran Luu Quang shared this principle.

In response to some feedback from voters regarding land and planning, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee informed that the National Assembly has just issued a resolution amending and supplementing Resolution 98, and Ho Chi Minh City will apply specific mechanisms and policies to resolve special cases in the city.

He also shared that, currently, Ho Chi Minh City has expanded, so there is still some inconsistency in regulations and policies, and the city is focusing on implementing them more synchronously in the coming time.

Following positive feedback from voters regarding the effectiveness of the two-tiered local government model, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee acknowledged and thanked the voters, but frankly admitted that there are still many things that need to be done better, and that Ho Chi Minh City must make great efforts to improve. He expressed his hope that the people and voters would share the concerns of the city's government at all levels.

He affirmed that, in time, the operation of the two-tiered local government model will be smoother and more effective in serving the people and businesses.

The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee instructed city departments and local authorities to proactively coordinate better in resolving issues raised by citizens; and to prioritize important matters for immediate resolution.

He affirmed that he would monitor the progress of relevant agencies and units in resolving the issues raised by voters. He also expressed his hope that the people and voters would share and contribute to the development of the locality and the city.

Dong Hoa Ward has a population of over 183,000 people. Dong Hoa Ward is the eastern gateway to Ho Chi Minh City, with major roads such as: Hanoi Highway, Do Muoi Road (National Highway 1A), National Highway 1K, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, My Phuoc - Tan Van, and the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro line... In addition, the new Eastern Bus Station, Binh Duong Port, and the National University of Ho Chi Minh City are also located within the ward.
