This morning, April 3, during a working trip to the southern provinces of Laos, the delegation of Quang Nam province's leaders led by Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited the Consulate General of Vietnam in Pakse.
Also attending were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Quang, Major General Nguyen Duc Dung - Director of the Provincial Police Department, along with leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Border Guard, Military and the Departments of Planning & Investment, Transport and Foreign Affairs.
Informing the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse, Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that although the province has faced many difficulties in the past time, it has still carried out twinning activities with Sekong province well. National defense and security work in the border area has been ensured, with no hot spots or complications. Support for Champasak students studying in Quang Nam has been maintained.
Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet also expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese Consulate General in Pakse for supporting and creating favorable conditions for Quang Nam to effectively implement the twinning relationship and comprehensive cooperation with Sekong province and cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, culture andeducation with Champasak province.
On this occasion, the delegation of Quang Nam province's leaders also sent gifts and best wishes to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Pakse on the occasion of the traditional Lao New Year Bunpimay 2024.
