Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc inspected the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 13 in Phu My Bac commune.

On the morning of November 8, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee inspected the damage and recovery work of storm No. 13 in Phu My Bac commune.

Directly inspecting Phu Thu village, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc visited and encouraged households that suffered heavy damage due to storm No. 13.

According to initial statistics, Phu Thu village had 5 houses completely collapsed, 14 houses had their roofs blown off, corrugated iron sheets blown away, and many household items were damaged.

In the whole Phu My Bac commune, 7 houses completely collapsed, 454 houses were damaged, roofs were blown off, estimated damage was over 15.9 billion VND. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.

Local authorities are mobilizing forces to support people in repairing houses and cleaning up the environment to soon stabilize their lives.

During the inspection, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc noted that local authorities need to review, plan and rearrange safe residential areas, limiting the situation of people building spontaneous and illegal houses in coastal areas - places that are often strongly affected by storms and high tides.

"We must proactively re-plan residential areas, ensure the safety of people's lives and property against natural disasters, and speed up the progress of overcoming storm consequences so that people can soon stabilize their lives," emphasized comrade Thai Dai Ngoc.
