"BIDV - Joining hands to connect Vietnamese blood"
For the past 12 years, BIDV Son La Branch has been the main co-sponsor of the program “Red Journey – Connecting Vietnamese Blood”. The program "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese blood" launched by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion since 2013 is a national voluntary blood donation campaign, carrying the message "A drop of blood given - a life saved". Over more than a decade, the program has connected millions of kind hearts, spreading noble deeds for life.
BIDV Son La leaders presented gifts to patients in difficult circumstances at the "Son La Red Drops" Blood Donation Festival 2025.
In Son La, from 2015 to present, the program “Red Journey” has been organized 10 times, attracting a large number of cadres, soldiers, civil servants, students and people to participate. Thereby, receiving more than 41,000 units of blood, promptly supporting emergency and treatment work at medical facilities.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Deputy Director of BIDV Son La , said: Red Journey is a key social security activity of BIDV Son La. In 12 years of accompanying, we have sponsored the organization cost, donated nearly 400 gifts worth more than 100 million VND to disadvantaged patients. At the same time, we provide banking service consultation right at the blood donation festival, contributing to spreading profound human values.
BIDV Son La also pioneered in spreading the spirit of humanitarian blood donation, organizing many propaganda activities, mobilizing officers, employees and customers to participate. Over the past 10 years, the unit has had 115 officers and employees participating in voluntary blood donation, contributing nearly 30,000 ml of blood to the Central Institute of Hematology to distribute to medical facilities.

Ms. Pham Quynh Anh, an officer of BIDV Son La Bank, shared: Every year, the Trade Union and Youth Union of BIDV Son La encourage officers and union members to actively donate blood voluntarily. For me, each time I donate blood is a source of pride, a responsibility, and an opportunity to save lives. I have donated blood 10 times and will continue to spread this act to more people.
Ms. Cam Thi Chuyen, President of the Provincial Red Cross Society, noted: BIDV Son La not only provides material support, but is also a source of spiritual encouragement, spreading the spirit of humanity, motivating many organizations and individuals to participate in community health, contributing significantly to the success of the "Red Journey" in the locality.

In addition, BIDV Son La actively participates in humanitarian blood donation programs such as Red Sunday and the annual Pink Spring Festival. From 2020 to present, the unit has also implemented many social security activities for the community: organizing "Warm Tet for the poor", giving gifts and free meals to disadvantaged patients, sponsoring medical equipment and ambulances, supporting scholarships, computers for schools, contributing to building charity houses... The total implementation cost is more than 15 billion VND.
Accompanying the “Red Journey” and social security activities, BIDV Son La has become a bright spot in the community, spreading the spirit of “joining hands for Vietnamese blood”, contributing to building a better and better society.
