In Quang Tan commune (Quang Ninh province), Mr. Hoang Van Thao's comprehensive farm model, combining livestock and poultry farming, crop cultivation and aquaculture, has become a bright spot in the local agricultural picture.

Mr. Thao's farm currently maintains more than 2,000 chickens, geese, and cows along with a fish pond system and fruit garden. The production stages are applied in a closed process, and the treated livestock waste becomes organic fertilizer for plants. After harvesting, vegetables and fruits are used as supplementary feed for livestock, poultry, and fish.
The connection in the production chain has helped the farm not only reduce input costs but also improve biosecurity. Local specialty livestock breeds such as Dam Ha bearded chicken, Tien Yen chicken, black duck, and crocodile... are all raised naturally, with controlled food rations according to appropriate formulas. In addition, the application of digestive enzymes and keeping a livestock diary helps Mr. Thao proactively prevent disease risks, ensuring healthy livestock and high-quality products.
Anh Thao emphasized: “Farming now is not just for food but also for the market. If the product is not safe, consumers will definitely turn their backs. We have to think further and maintain our reputation for a long time to develop.”
It can be said that Mr. Thao's model is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of the green agricultural direction. From a small-scale production household, the farm has now become a typical model, creating seasonal jobs for local workers, especially contributing to the formation of a chain of specialty products associated with the Dam Ha and Tien Yen brands. The commune government is orienting to replicate this model, supporting people to access techniques, and at the same time building sustainable consumption links.

The greatest value of the model lies not in the size of the livestock herd or the area of cultivation, but in the systematic organization of production, which both saves resources and protects the environment. In the context of climate change, circular agriculture not only helps reduce emissions but also increases the resilience of the ecosystem.
The market today is increasingly strict with food safety standards. Therefore, Mr. Thao's recording and strict adherence to the process of using vaccines, fertilizers, pesticides, etc. is a clear commitment to consumers. This is also the factor that makes the products from his farm positively received by the market, from specialty chickens to vegetables, fruits, and fish.
In the coming time, Mr. Thao plans to focus on expanding the flock of Dam Ha bearded chickens and Tien Yen commercial chickens. These are two breeds with great competitive advantages because of the increasing demand for consumption, while the stable supply is not much. Developing in the right direction will not only bring economic benefits to households, but also contribute to affirming the brand of Quang Ninh's specialty agricultural products in the wider market.
