Notably, the car license plate 99A-999.99 found an owner with the auction winning amount of up to nearly 28 billion VND.

According to the representative, this is the second time the car license plate 99A-999.99 has been auctioned. Previously, this license plate was auctioned for the first time on the afternoon of August 12 with a record high winning amount - more than 21.8 billion VND. However, the first bidder withdrew the deposit.

The car license plates with high winning bids this morning include: 99A-999.99 with a winning price of nearly 28 billion VND, 51N-234.56 with a winning price of 915 million VND, 11A-234.56 with a winning price of 550 million VND, 36B-111.11 with a winning price of 320 million VND...

The Traffic Police Department said that from September 15, 2023 to October 20, the total number of auctioned/listed license plates was 150,914, equivalent to more than VND 8,300 billion. Of which, the auctioned/listed car license plates were 87,939, equivalent to more than VND 7,500 billion, and the auctioned motorbike license plates were 62,975, equivalent to more than VND 804 billion.

The total amount of money that the authorities have collected and paid to the state budget is 8,100 billion VND from the auction of vehicle license plates.
