Commendation of 4 units implementing site clearance for Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway

(DN) - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha signed Document No. 10769/UBND-KTNS (dated November 28, 2025) to send to relevant units to commend and criticize the results of compensation and site clearance work for the North-South Expressway Project, Western section, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh, passing through the province.

Accordingly, after reviewing the report of the Provincial Land Fund Development Center on the results of the project's compensation and site clearance work up to November 20, 2025 and the proposal of the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial People's Committee commended the Provincial Land Fund Development Center for its high sense of responsibility, urging, monitoring, and promptly reporting to the Provincial People's Committee on difficulties and problems in the implementation process.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee also commended 3 units including: Dong Xoai Ward People's Committee and Phuoc Son and Bu Dang Communes, Dong Nai Province for completing 100% of land origin confirmation; drafting and posting 100% of plans for appraisal and approval of compensation and support plans, reaching over 30% for cases through the area.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also criticized and disciplined 3 units whose implementation progress did not meet the plan as of November 20, 2025, including the People's Committees of Dong Tam, Tan Loi, Nghia Trung communes, Dong Nai province. At the same time, the units were required to urgently and seriously clarify the causes, propose specific solutions to overcome them, and ensure the completion of the progress of compensation and site clearance for the North-South Expressway Project, West section, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh, in the coming time.

The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway has a total length of more than 128km, of which the section passing through Dong Nai province is 101km long. To implement the project, Dong Nai province must reclaim more than 940 hectares of land with about 2,200 households affected.

In October 2025, the Provincial People's Committee launched a 90-day and night plan to carry out the project's land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement with the goal of completing this work by the end of 2025.
